WILD WINTER

Parents:

January has been a very cold month. If your child is a half day student they are welcome to stay until 12:30 on the days we have a delay. They will need to either bring a sack lunch or buy lunch ($2.50).

The preschool is doing a basket for the Reverse Raffle. There is a flyer in the folder explaining it

Anyone who wants to help out in the room or come to the room parties needs to have a background check and do the on line safe and sacred training. You will find papers for these things in the folder. Any questions please e mail me.

Catholic Schools Week is the week of Jan. 27th.  Our theme is "Choose Kind" to go along with our bully prevention program.

Please participate by dressing out in each day’s color.

Monday we will wear WHITE to stand for CHOOSE KIND actions and words.

Tuesday we will wear PINK for CANCER AWARENESS.

Wednesday we will wear GREEN for CATHOLIC EDUCATION.

Thursday we will wear PURPLE for ANTI-BULLYING

Friday we will wear GREEN AND GOLD for FRIENDSHIP AND SPORTSMANSHIP

Label all belongings. The lost and found is growing. We are always looking for things for the store and don’t forget Box Tops.

God Bless

Wild Winter Welcome to 2014

What a wild start to 2014.  Hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. Thanks to all who help with our Birthday Party for Jesus. Jesus received some very nice presents (which were all donated to Birthline.) I also appreciate all the helpers who came in for the party.

The new year brings new changes to preschool. We are going to use the next several months until graduation to help your child be ready for kindergarten.  This week let your child do all the morning procedures themselves and starting with the next week ( January 20th) you may drop your child off in the carpool line on the playground. I ask that you make sure a teacher is standing at the door letting children in before you let them out of the car. This is an option for you and you can still walk them in if you wish.

We are working on the letter N this week. You will receive two letters in the Friday folder this week because folders did not go home on Friday. Please send in the list of books your child read this week on a piece of paper.

The next week will be spent on explaining our mini economy and how the child will earn money as well as have to pay fines. January 20th begins the actual earning of money and the store will be open about every other Friday. We are always looking for items for our store from small things like pencils to larger items such as Barbie Dolls and match cars.

Next week is Riley Week. We will be collecting money all week for Riley Hospital. Have your child do chores to earn the money to donate.

The follow week is Catholic Schools Week. Here is a peak at what we will be wearing:
